DApp
A DApp, or decentralized application, is a type of application that runs on a blockchain network. DApps are designed to be decentralized and operate independently of any single entity. They are built using smart contracts, and their code is open-source.
DApps can be used for a variety of purposes, such as creating digital marketplaces, managing digital assets, and building decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) in DeFi. They can be built on different blockchain platforms, like Ethereum, EOS or TRON, and can also be used to create decentralized versions of existing centralized services, such as social networks, online marketplaces and prediction markets.
