Bitcoin Dominance
Bitcoin dominance refers to the percentage of the total crypto market capitalization that is made up of Bitcoin. In other words, it measures how much of the overall value of the crypto market is attributed to Bitcoin compared to other cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin has historically had the largest market share among cryptocurrencies, and its dominance has fluctuated over time. At its peak in December 2017, Bitcoin dominance was over 80%, but it has since declined as other cryptocurrencies have gained popularity.
