Cold Storage

Cold storage refers to the practice of keeping the private keys of a crypto wallet offline, in order to protect them from hacking or other types of online attacks. It can be accomplished through a variety of methods, such as storing the private keys on a hardware wallet (such as Ledger or Trezor), a paper wallet, or even on a piece of offline software.

By keeping the private keys offline, cold storage can help protect against many threats that might compromise the security of an online wallet. It’s an important security measure for users and organizations that hold significant amounts of cryptocurrency for a long period of time.
