Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs)
EIPs (Ethereum Improvement Proposals) are proposals for changes or upgrades to the Ethereum protocol. They function as a forum for community discussion and network change implementation, similar to Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs). EIPs can address a variety of subjects, including technical improvements as well as alterations to government or economics.
Over 400 EIPs have currently been proposed, and more are always being added. Before being implemented through a consensus process, EIPs are debated and approved by the Ethereum community.
