Market Order

A market order is a sort of order put forth by a trader to buy or sell a certain cryptocurrency at the going rate. When carrying out a market order, the trader is prepared to accept the trade’s current market price, regardless of its precise value.

A market order to buy indicates that the trader wants to buy the cryptocurrency at the best price currently being offered on the market, and it will be filled by matching the order with already-placed sell orders on the exchange. Due to market changes and liquidity, the actual purchase price may differ significantly from the displayed market price.

In the same way, a trader who places a market order to sell, wants to sell assets for the highest price possible. The actual selling price may vary somewhat from the displayed market price due to market conditions, and the order will be matched with current buy orders on the exchange.
