Public sale
A public sale is a type of fundraising event in which a company or project offers tokens, equity, or other assets to the general public.
Unlike a private sale, which is offered to a select group of investors, a public sale is open to anyone who wants to participate, typically through a platform such as an exchange or crowdfunding platform. Normally, the money obtained from the sale is used to pay for the creation and introduction of a new coin or platform.
New cryptocurrency projects frequently raise money and create a community around themselves through public sales. However, they can also be dangerous for investors, as many ICOs and ITOs have been involved with scams or fraudulent operations.
