Satoshi (SATS)
Satoshi (SATS) is the smallest unit of measurement for a Bitcoin (BTC) and it is named after the pseudonym used by the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 BTC
This unit allows for very small transactions, and it is commonly used for fractional amounts of Bitcoin, which can be divided up to 8 decimal places, so it’s possible to send or receive very small amounts of it.
The value of a Satoshi can fluctuate depending on the price of Bitcoin. For example, if the price of one Bitcoin is $10,000, then one Satoshi is worth $0.0001, but if the price of one Bitcoin is $20,000, one Satoshi is worth $0.0002.
