Scam

A scam in crypto refers to any fraudulent activity or scheme that aims to deceive individuals or entities in order to steal their cryptocurrency or personal information. It is more difficult to recover from theft in crypto world, because it runs anonymously and independently of central institutions.

Examples of common scams in crypto space include Ponzi schemes, rug pulls, fake ICOs (initial coin offerings), fake airdrops (social media giveaways), phishing attempts, and pump-and-dump schemes. It is important to do your own research (DYOR) and exercise caution when investing or participating in any crypto-related activities to avoid falling victim to scammers.
