Swap

Crypto Swap is similar to a trade, but instead of exchanging one asset for fiat currency, such as US dollars or euros, two parties exchange one digital asset for another.

A swap can occur through a centralized exchange (CEX), where the exchange acts as an intermediary and facilitates the transaction, or through a decentralized exchange (DEX), where trades occur directly between users on a peer-to-peer network.

In a typical crypto swap, users connect their digital wallet to a DEX and choose the cryptocurrency they want to trade as well as the one they want to receive in return. After the transaction has been verified on the blockchain, the DEX will immediately carry out the swap using the agreed-upon exchange rate.
