Tether (USDT)

Tether (USDT) is a type of crypto asset called a stablecoin, designed to mitigate the price volatility typically associated with other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Its value is directly linked or “pegged” to a stable asset, usually a fiat currency such as the US dollar. Tether’s token, known as USDT, aims to maintain a fixed 1:1 ratio with the value of the underlying asset it represents.

Tether operates on multiple blockchain platforms, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, and others. It primarily serves as a means of exchange and a store of value within the crypto ecosystem. Traders and investors frequently utilize Tether as a quick method to convert their holdings into a stable asset during times of market turbulence or uncertainty.
