Trustless
Trustless in crypto refers to a feature of decentralized blockchain systems (DeFi). It enables direct transactions without intermediaries, relying on consensus mechanisms and smart contracts.
- Decentralization and cryptographic techniques ensure transparency, security, and immutability. Participants can verify transactions on the public ledger, promoting censorship resistance and reducing the need for trust in central authorities.
- However, caution is still necessary in dealing with services and applications built on these systems, as trust may still be required in specific scenarios.
