Pre-IDO

The term “pre-IDO” refers to a stage that takes place before a crypto token’s initial DEX offering (IDO). It is a phrase that is frequently used in relation to bitcoin fundraising and decentralized finance (DeFi).

Before releasing a token to the general public via an IDO, the project team or developers may engage in a variety of activities to spark interest, foster community, and raise money. Some examples are:

  • Private Sales: the project team may offer a portion of its token supply at a reduced price or with particular vesting conditions to chosen investors, venture capitalists, or strategic partners.
  • Strategic Partnerships: to collaborate, improve their product or service, or reach a wider audience, the project team may develop partnerships with other businesses, initiatives, or people.
  • Marketing Initiatives: their purpose is to spread knowledge of and interest in the token sale. Press releases, interviews, and other promotional efforts fall under this category.
  • Community engagement: the success of a crypto project depends on the development of an active and involved community. The team may host conferences, webinars, AMAs (Ask Me Anything), or interact with community members and possible investors via social media platforms and forums.
